This is my entry to Techie She’s Lucky Blogger Weekly Giveaways Week No. 6. This week’s prize is one year free blog hosting sponsored by MaBelle of MB’s Tips, Thoughts and Reviews.
I tend to break things when mad out of uncontrolled temper. I couldn’t stop the sudden impulse to hit anything until whatever I have in hands turn into pieces. I know it is not healthy but I just couldn’t control it. I would tremble if I can’t hit the thing (and the person sometimes) that got into my nerves.
Few hours ago, I got mad at my laptop because it kept shutting down on its own like every 10 minutes. And a short-tempered me got easily eaten by frustrations. Computer problems always bring my blood to boil at maximum degree. It is shallow I know but I hate waiting. I couldn’t wait until the laptop stops its tantrum and stays on. So I punched it to my satisfaction and ended up bruising my hands. I stopped punching when I felt the pain and when my youngest sis entered my room. Until now, the laptop still acts like a Christmas light that blinks on and off. Grrr! Now I have no choice but use this slow loading PC.
This temper problem of mine is not a secret to my husband. He even gave me some tips to avoid breaking things around the house. Back when he was here, every time I get mad to the extent of hitting a thing, he would appear in front of me with a pillow.
These are the tips he left me.
- Hit a pillow when mad instead of a thing to avoid breaking important (and expensive) things around the house and most of all, to avoid hurting yourself.
- Get away from things that had gotten into your nerves, simply go downstairs, drink a glass of water, breath in and out and watch TV to calm yourself down.
In my case a while ago, my head totally went black that I wasn’t able to think of these tips. Why? I got up around nine in the morning, switched the laptop on, keyed in my password, checked my mail and read good news (was so happy), keyed in status on FB and then ‘shut down’. It had been like that until 5:00 pm today. I wasn’t able to control myself anymore and punched the helpless laptop.

kawawang laptop. maybe kailangan nya ng cooler or ventilation sis. baka madali na siyang mag-init/overheat that’s why it shuts down to prevent further damage to itself. it’s also important to back-up your files na because it will be hard (if not impossible) to retrieve them once your lappy finally decides that it’s time to retire.
regards and good luck to the giveaways. thanks for joining in the fun.
